South Korean pop group Girls' Generation rose to No. 1 on two Japanese Oricon weekly charts for the DVD and the Blu-ray disk (BD) of its first solo concert in Japan, the group's agency said Wednesday.

Both released a week ago, the DVD and BD, "The Best Live at Tokyo Dome" topped Oricon's weekly DVD and BD charts this week, according to S.M. Entertainment.

It is the first time that the girl group has simultaneously topped the two charts since its "Girls' Generation Complete Video Collection" did so in 2012.

The group performed before 50,000 fans during its first solo concert in Japan, which was held at the Tokyo Dome on Dec. 9.

Girls' Generation is scheduled to release a new single, "Catch Me If You Can," simultaneously in South Korea and Japan on Friday. (Yonhap)
