Minah, a member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Day, returned with her new solo album “I am a Woman Too” on Monday, holding a street showcase at Myeong-dong, one of Seoul’s main shopping districts.

The 21-year-old also performed American singer Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” in front of hundreds of fans. This is the same song she sang as an aspiring singer five years ago, at the same place, to overcome her shyness.

Minah said she chose the place as a stage for her solo debut, hoping to return to her original dream of becoming a singer.

“I feel strange and nervous to come here again. Five years ago, people gathered because I was singing. Now, they are waiting to see me sing. It is so amazing that time files,” she said.

Directed by South Korean producer Duble Sidekick, her title song “I am a Woman Too” tells the story of a woman longing for love. It features urban R&D music highlighting funky base and guitar riff based on vintage vibes.
