South Korean actor Kim Jung-hoon’s agency on Wednesday revealed a picture taken during the filming for the forthcoming Chinese drama tentatively titled “God of War Zhao Yun.”

In the picture, Kim is wearing a traditional Chinese outfit embroidered with sophisticated patterns, looking like a real general from ancient times.

A drama crew member in charge of costumes said, “I doubted whether the traditional outfit would go well with Kim as he has such a pretty face for a general. But as it turned out, he indeed looked like a valiant general in the outfit.”

“God of War Zhao Yun” is a historical drama that follows the legendary story of Gen. Zhao Zilong who lived in the Three Kingdoms period. Yoona, a member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Generation, is said to play the female lead in the drama.

Kim is to play Li Zhi, a rival of the main character Zhao Zilong, who gets involved in a love triangle between Zhao Zilong and Xia Hou.

The drama is scheduled to premiere on Hunan TV in August.
