Busker Busker’s hit song “Cherry Blossom Ending” is proving to be timeless by resurfacing on online music charts yet again.

On Monday, the song made it into the top 10 list of various real time charts, ranking fifth on Naver Music, sixth on Olleh Music, and ninth on Melon.

A romantic ballad with an addictive rhythm, “Cherry Blossom Ending” sings of affectionate feelings for a special someone expressed in the form of wanting to walk together in a sakura-filled street.

Since its release three years ago in 2012, the song continued to resurface every year with the approach of spring.

Local media have tagged the song “immortal” while fans elevated it to a lyrical history, stating, “when global warming erases spring from the four seasons, ‘Cherry Blossom Ending’ just may be the way to preserve the image of spring as we know it.”

“Cherry Blossom Ending” was the lead title of Busker Busker’s first official EP released in March 2012.

The band consists of lead vocal and guitarist Jang Beom-joon, American drummer Brad and bassist Kim Hyung-tae.

They rose to fame after performing in a TV audition program for musicians called “Super Star K3” in 2011.
