EXO's Chanyeol to star in 'Salute D'Amour'

Photos of upcoming drama film "Salute D'Amour," which is expected to revive the career of director Kang Je-gyu after classic award-winning war film "Taegukgi" (2004), were released Monday.

Kang's first romance offering will also be K-pop boy band EXO's Chanyeol big-screen debut.

The idol singer stars as schoolboy Park Min-sung. The 22-year-old was spotted on-set clad in gray uniform and drawing up his fists in a defensive posture.

The film, which opens nationwide April, will have a celebrated star cast including Park Geun-hyung, Yoon Yeo-jeong, Cho Chin-woong and Han Ji-min.

Park will soon appear in variety program "Grandpas over Flowers." Yoon won praise for "The Taste of Money," Cho acted in box office hit "The Admiral," and Han stars alongside Hyun Bin in romantic drama series "Hyde, Jekyll, Me."
