K-pop girl band 4Minute seized the top trophy in a major music competition program with its track “Crazy” on Sunday for the second consecutive week.

In SBS’ “Inkigayo” that aired on Sunday afternoon, the quintet’s “Crazy” outpaced the highly acclaimed tune “You From The Same Time” of veteran vocalist Naul and “Shake That Brass” of Amber, f(x) member who recently turned a soloist.

After winning the prize, the youngest member Kwon So-hyun made a memorable speech saying, “Today is the March 1 Independence Movement day. I will never forget how much I should appreciate (those who fought for independence).

This Sunday marks the 96th anniversary of the March 1 Independence Movement in which millions of Koreans took to the streets to stand up against Japan’s colonial rule in 1919.

4Minute is on a winning streak with “Crazy,” released on Feb. 9, grabbing seven trophies so far on major TV music shows including MBC’s “Show! Music Bank,” SBS’ “Inkigayo” and Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on Feb. 26.

“Crazy” is a dance track armed with the heavy trap beats and rapping. Its lyrics are about feelings of a man who cannot help but love a bad girl.

Parris Goebel and Kiel Tutin, choreographers who worked with American pop star Jennifer Lopez, helped design its powerful choreography so that the girls could bring out its charisma onstage.

Among other K-pop acts on the Sunday’s music show were Shinhwa, Niel, Rainbow, VIXX, G-Friend and Sonamoo.
