As if it wasn't enough that Kim Jae-joong is a breakthrough K-pop singer, rising actor and occasional model, the 29-year-old has now signed on as art director of Korean fashion brand Moldir.

The fashion company, which launched in Seoul January 2014, shared an exclusive interview with the multitalented idol singer on its official website Wednesday.

"I definitely don’t want to do this as a passing fad," said Kim in the interview, noting that he was regrettably pressed for time with other commitments. "I would like to grow as an art director in the long term."

"Fashion trends change rapidly and Moldir is the kind of brand that can meet those changes," he said, describing the company’s image as "modern and minimal."

"Currently Moldir’s clothing items are predominantly dark, but who knows? Maybe the brand will start introducing brighter and more eye-catching colors in the future," Kim added.

Kim’s management C-JeS Entertainment said, "Kim Jae-joong has his own distinctive fashion and artistic sense. He will take it to a more serious level with his new role as an art director."

The idol singer, who wears an all-black outfit complete with eyeliner in the video interview, stars in weekly KBS2 crime drama "Spy."
