Two of the three couples on reality program "We Got Married" -- Namgoong Min and Hong Jin-young, and Hong Jong-hyun and Yura -- will exit the show after months of playing on-screen married couples.

While actors Song Jae-rim and Kim So-eun will remain on the program, the production crew confirmed Thursday it is in the process of choosing new celebrity couples for the upcoming fifth season of the popular weekly MBC program.

"Depending on the amount of filming that takes place, the broadcast date of the last episode (featuring all three couples) may change," said a MBC spokesperson Thursday, amid reports that the two couples would bow out next week on Saturday, March 7.

Actor Namgoong Min, 36, and singer Hong Jin-young, 29, delighted viewers with romantic gestures for almost a year after becoming on-screen newlyweds in March 2014.

Model-actor Hong Jong-hyun, 25, and Girl's Day singer Yura, 22, memorably stunned spectators with a dramatic Hollywood-style kiss on the MBC Entertainment Awards red carpet in December. They joined the show in June 2014.

Though MBC claimed that nothing had yet been confirmed for the fifth season, local media outlets claim the major Korean television network is already in the early matchmaking stages of selecting new on-screen couples who may go on air as early as March.

"We Got Married" is broadcast every Saturday at 5 p.m.
