SM Entertainment will embark on its 2015 global audition in January in Seoul, the agency said on Wednesday.

The label has made many famous K-pop stars -- BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), EXO and Red Velvet.

The audition will begin in Seoul on Jan. 9. and the agency will visit 28 cities in nine countries for the audition -- South Korea, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Canada -- for about five months.

Many non-Korean artists have already made their debut and are active under the SM banner, including Super Junior-M’s Henry, f(x)’s Amber, Red Velvet’s Joy and Wendy.

S.M. Global Audition, which drew more than 80,000 participants in 2014, is expected to draw more this year since it seeks a bigger event by visiting more cities.

The audition will accept applicants in five categories -- singing, dancing, acting, modelling and composing -- regardless of age, sex and nationality. Successful candidates will get a chance to sign an exclusive contract with SM.

More details are available on SMTOWN’s official home page.
