Actress Park Min-young said Thursday that she will focus on work.

“I think I have had enough (dates) in my 20s, and I think now is the time to work,” the actor said in a news conference for KBS’s new action romance “Healer.” “But I won’t say no to more.”

With a month left to reach 30, the actress showed passion for her acting career. The drama queen debuted in 2006 with MBC’s hit sitcom “Unstoppable High Kick.” Since then, she has played the lead roles in 10 dramas, including “Healer (2015),” “A New Leaf (2015),” Dr. Jin (2012)’ and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010).”

After co-starring in “City Hunter (2011)” with hallyu star Lee Min-ho, their intimacy turned into love. But the two broke up in several months.
Park said she does not pick her dramas according to their genre. While she has received positive reviews about her acting in period drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” the period genre itself does not necessarily intrigue her more than the action genre. Instead, the character matters a lot, said the actress.

“I chose ‘Healer’ because I loved the character of Chae Young-shin,” Park said.

The actress also mentioned SBS rom-com “Pinocchio,” which also covers the story of the news reporters. She said the rom-com was fun. But “Healer” will be interesting as well, she said.

“‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Healer’ have many differences, although both of them have news reporters as the lead roles,” she said. “But Pinocchio focuses more about what happens in the news room, while (Healer) is about digging into an accident that occurred years ago.”

Starring Park, Ji Chang-wook and Yoo Ji-tae, “Healer” is slated to premiere on Dec. 8. The action rom-com will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m.
