Korean popular actor Kim Soo-hyun earned more than 90 billion won in a year through commercials in China, according to Chinese reports last week.

“Kim became the most popular hallyu star in China after the SBS drama ‘My Love from the Star,’ earning about 90.9 billion won in a year,” the report said.

“The actor served as a brand model for more than 30 Chinese companies, and is constantly receiving the most offers among foreign actors. The enormous amount of profit seem to be generated from his participations in TV programs, promotional events and fan meetings,” the report added.

Kim was recently awarded for spreading hallyu at the 2014 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award ceremony.
