Netflix confirmed Friday the production of “Because It’s My First Love,” with aims to release the series in 2019.

Actors Ji Soo, Jung Chae-yeon of girl group Dia and Jung Jin-young, formerly of boy band B1A4, are set to play the lead roles in the romance drama series.

“Because It’s My First Love” revolves around a love triangle between three friends who had never thought about dating in university. The series is to be created by Kim Min-seo, who also wrote “Little Black Dress,” and Oh Jin-seok, who directed “Yong-pal.”

Ji Soo gained recognition for his portrayal of In Guk-doo in the series “Strong Girl Bong-soon.” Dia’s Jung Chae-yeon showed a relatable acting style in TV drama “Drinking Solo.” Jung Jin-young, who left B1A4 in June, has starred in multiple series, including romance drama “Love in the Moonlight.”
