S.M. Entertainment revealed Monday that its megahit boy band EXO will be launching its first subunit group.

Last week, EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin released a short teaser that featured them dressed up as news anchors. In the teaser, the three idols announced EXO was launching its first subunit, but they did not reveal any further details other than the first letter of the group’s name and an upcoming track.

It has now been revealed by S.M. that the subunit’s name is EXO-CBX, named after the initials of its members, Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin. S.M. also revealed that the subunit’s first EP “Hey Mama!” will be released on Oct. 31.
