Amid a barrage of news reports that singer-turned-actress Han Sun-hwa had effectively left girl group Secret, Han wrote on her Instagram account to express her appreciation to fans who supported her during her seven-years as a Secret member.

Han will terminate her contract with Secret’s agency TS Entertainment on Oct. 13 and pursue her acting career with a new agency.

Secret will resume its activities as a trio comprising Jun Hyo-seong, Song Ji-eun and Jung Ha-na. TS Entertainment reportedly has no plan to replace Han.

Below is the full translation of Han’s post on Monday.

To many of Secret Time fan club members and many of you who sent support to me: This is Han Sun-hwa.

I would like to say this in a prudent manner, unlike what I usually do.

For the last seven years as a member of Secret, I was glad and thankful for sharing feelings of happiness and sadness, while receiving enormous affection and attention that are beyond expression.

Recalling those days, I knew nothing back then. But I realize I received an overwhelming amount of love and attention, which would have been an impossible achievement alone.

So I feel regretful and emotional about the tough choice I just made, but I want to cherish the moments I have had as a Secret member so far and push ahead for the future.

Now I’m on the verge of a fresh start, and I know might stumble at times. However, I will try my best to reward your support.

I appreciate all TS Entertainment staff, my Secret bandmates and all my fans for being with me.
