Lee Kwang-soo attended the “2015 Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo” in Shanghai, China on Thursday as an honorary ambassador.

The expo was hosted by Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and managed by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.

The event was the largest ever among Hallyu expos to date.

Lee received commendation from the trade minister along with K-pop boy group Infinite for boosting the Korean Wave industry.

However, China ordered Lee’s scheduled appearances for the event on Thursday and Friday to be scaled back, concerned by his incredible popularity. The measure was taken to prevent accidents that might occur among Lee‘s rabid local fans.

Many people were deeply impressed by his manners at the event, as he signed autographs and took photos with fans one by one.

Meanwhile, the movie “Collective Invention,” starring Lee, will be released later this year.
