South Korean singer Rain received the Most Influential Korean Artist in Asia award at the China Music Awards on Thursday.
Rain, or Jung Ji-hoon, was the sole South Korean artist to be honored with a prize at the 19th China Music Awards, held in the Venetian Macau hotel’s Cotai Arena.
“Thank you to CMA and fans who have allowed me to stand here today. I will strive to be an artist who always does his best,” Rain said at the ceremony.
He performed “30 Sexy” and “La Song” onstage at the show, which was broadcast live to 54 regions in China.
The 32-year-old debuted in 1998 as a singer. He later took to acting, and has recently concluded filming for the Chinese drama series “Diamond Lover.”
Rain has denied marriage rumors with his actress girlfriend Kim Tae-hee, 34.
