Hip-hop duo GD X TAEYANG returned to the throne of SBS’ “Inkigayo” with their new song “Good Boy” on Sunday.

G-Dragon and Taeyang, the members of GD X TAEYANG, were absent on the live stage, and ended up receiving the trophy after the show, according to SBS.

The duo was one of the three bands that made it to the awarding session toward the end of the show. The other two candidates were girl group EXID and boy group EXO.

The boy duo first topped TV music programs in Nov. 30 with “Good Boy” but had to yield the top position to girl group Apink’s “LUV” the following week.

“Good Boy” was co-composed by Big Bang’s G-Dragon, The Fliptones and Freedo. G-Dragon wrote the lyrics of the song.

The song’s music video recorded 32 million views on YouTube, proving its soaring popularity.

Many K-pop artists including EXID, APINK, Aliee, BTOB and Lovelyz also performed on the stage of Inkigayo.
