Jinyoung of B1A4 is one of K-pop’s most multifaceted talents, as his extensive career includes not only a composer, but also an actor in both TV and movies.

Having been cast in a lead role in new Netflix drama “Because It’s My First Love,” the singer-turned-actor talked about his upcoming projects during an interview for a recent photo shoot with a local magazine.

“Because It’s My First Love” revolves around a love triangle between three friends who had never thought about dating in university.

“Watching the love triangle between the three will give you tickling feeling. It’s also exciting how romance is depicted realistically, not as a fantasy,” he said.




Jinyoung also shared how he managed to play the lead role in upcoming film “Person Inside Me,” which is set to premiere in January next year.

Featuring actor Park Sung-woong, “Person Inside Me” tells the story of an isolated high school student, played by Jinyoung, who attempts suicide and ends up switching bodies with a gangster.

“I was surprised at how much my scenes take part in the movie. I haven’t led a movie by myself before, and I had a lot of concerns about my role, which was quite complicated. In order to play my character who switches his body with a 40-something gangster, I studied Park a lot,” he said.

As a musician, Jinyoung said he has been relentlessly working on music of new styles, while nothing has been set yet about his new album.

“There are so many things to do, and I am really excited for what’s more to come. I feel happier while working than resting,” he added.
