GOT7’s Jinyoung gives brief update

“I’m doing this because I’ve heard that many of you are wondering what we’ve been up to,” said Jinyoung. “This won’t be for long.”

“Sorry I have to keep this mask on. I didn’t think I was going to do this,” he added to explain his face mask.

“I’m at a recording studio right now. You can see this is a recording studio alright. Do you see the guitar over there?” he replied to a fan asking where he was. “I’ve just finished recording and I’m about to head home.”

Halfway through the short broadcast, he called out a viewer who had requested he sing a song. “Um, ILoveNCT, you keep requesting songs but I’m not going to do it so you can stop commenting.”

Asked if he’s watched any movies lately, he answered “Oceans 8” and “Peter Rabbit.” “I’ve watched a lot of movies and all were very good.”

The broadcast had to be cut short as it was late at night. “I know some of you might think this is too soon but I’ve got to head home,” Jinyoung said before ending the show.

Lovelyz prepares for fan event

Lovelyz gave fans a sneak peek at an upcoming fan event dubbed “Lovely Day” this weekend. In the clip released via Naver’s V app Wednesday, Lovelyz can be seen rehearsing for a performance to be staged at the event.

The group promised the event would be extra special, taking the form of a mini concert.

Lovelyz released summer single “Wagzak” on June 30, its second release of the year.

Saturday’s event will kick off at 6 p.m. and Sunday’s at 5 p.m. at Jangchung Arena in central Seoul.

Sejeong, Mina and Nayoung of Gugudan, also known as “Semina,” uploaded a behind-the-scenes clip from their album cover shoot in Bali.

“We went to a jazz cafe here and it felt like a real vacation,” said Mina.

“It’s nice there’s just the three of us,” she said. “Because with nine members, we are always rushing and there’s not much time to spare.”

Sejeong, Mina and Nayoung are Gugudan’s three best-known bandmates, having competed in the first season of Mnet’s “Produce 101.”
