In the Los Angeles episode of “BTS News” aired on Naver’s V app Wednesday, BTS members were given individual missions to carry out. The tasks should be completed without letting the other bandmates know.

Only RM and Jungkook succeeded in completing their quests to seat in all the rest of six bandmates’ chairs and touch their noses.

As a penalty, members who failed had to act out cheesy lines from soap operas.

J-Hope

J-Hope was the first to take on the challenge.

“What were you going to do if something went wrong? What am I supposed to do if something were to happen to you?” J-Hope read out passionately, eliciting applause from members.

Jin

“Jin is a theater major,” said Jungkook, building up expectation before Jin took the stage.

“When I’m exhausted from life, I take a break,” Jin read his line. “That is, I look at you.”

Jimin

Jimin struggled at first, but ultimately succeeded as he smiled suavely at the camera and said, "Come here, I look better closer."

V

V, the only BTS member with acting experience, seemed the most natural as he read the otherwise cringe-inducing line: “If you love a person for a reason, you stop loving when the reason is gone. I love you without reason.”

Suga

“This one sounds like a crazy person,” Jungkook said before letting Suga act his line.

“I get furious when I see you, but I get even more furious when I can’t see you,” read Suga for the second time, after his first try met with his bandmates’ disapproval.

EXID’s Japanese debut showcase filled with multinational fans

EXID tuned in on Naver’s V app Wednesday to say hi to fans in Korea after holding its debut showcase in Tokyo, Japan.

“We’re dropping by to say hi before we go eat,” Jeonghwa said.

“What are we having?” asked Hani, to which the youngest member replied, “something from Kyoto, with seafood and stuff.”

“I think we had Korean fans, Chinese fans and Taiwanese fans who came all the way to Japan to see us,” Hani said, thanking all those who came.

“We should study Japanese,” said LE. “Every time we perform abroad, we do feel the linguistic barrier,” Hani nodded.

Solji, who announced her break from work in 2016 after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, was absent from the group’s Japanese debut. The 29-year-old underwent orbital decompression surgery, which reduces the protrusion of the eye, in January.

GFriend’s Yuju is debuting solo this Friday with the single “Love Rain,” featuring singer-songwriter and record producer Suran.

The GFriend vocalist tries out an entirely new genre with “Love Rain,” which is a medium-tempo R&B.

GFriend’s 2018 release “Time for the Moon Night: The 6th Mini Album” debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart, an incredible feat for the sextet.
