K-pop group BTOB celebrated its vocalist Yook Sungjae’s birthday in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday. Yook turned 23 this year.

“What I felt again was that I’m getting more and more Kakao Talk messages on my birthday every year,” he said. “So I thought ‘I’m getting more people to thank in my life.’”

The singer also thanked his fans for their well wishes.

“I’m saying this because I thought I might disappoint you (if I didn’t mention it) but I saw all your congratulatory messages on the billboard at Gangnam Station -- though not in real life but through photos on social media -- and I also saw that there was a cafe using cup holders that have my face printed on them,” he said.

“Thank you for all the advertisements you put on (the city’s walls) to congratulate me on my birthday,” he said.

During the broadcast, he also blew out candles on a birthday cake. His bandmates took turns delivering birthday wishes.
