K-pop girl group EXID thanked its fans for supporting its new single “Lady” after winning on SBS MTV’s weekly music show “The Show” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

The group started up the broadcast by singing Cliff Richard’s “Congratulations.”

“We won the ‘The Show’ choice award today!” LE said.

“That was an award that we didn’t even expect so we were really surprised on the stage,” Jeonghwa said. “So LE passed her mic to Hani suddenly (during her acceptance speech).”

“Yes, I was so surprised that I couldn’t think of anything to say except for thanking words for the fans,” LE said. “We went just like ‘Wahhhhh,’” Jeonghwa agreed.

“As we didn’t expect to win it, we were frozen on the stage to receive the award,” Hani said.

“This actually is the prize that Leggos should receive,” she said referring to the group’s fan club. “As it was tough for staffs and people from Banana Culture (EXID’s agency) while preparing this release, we think it is the prize that those people should receive rather than us,” Jeonghwa said.

“We also worked hard,” LE said hugging her bandmates. “And Solji also worked hard,” Jeonghwa added.

“As we tried the new concept, we had a lot of worries. We feel really good as the outcome was good,” LE said.
