Yong Jun-hyung of boy band Highlight belatedly celebrated his birthday with fans on Naver’s V app Wednesday.

In the broadcast, the singer made his birthday wish with fans and blew out the candles on a strawberry cake. His birthday was in December.

“I became 30 this year. Actually, I was not going to say that I became 30 because I was worried if you think your Oppas become too old,” he said. “But that’s something you cannot deny.”

Born in 1989, the singer became 30 this year. In Korea, people get a year older when the year turns.

“I hope I don’t cling to my age and show you fresh ideas and charms through good music without getting exhausted,” he said.

When the fans commented on live chat that he does not look 30, he said, “Well, I too think that I do not look 30.”

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
