During the broadcast, the singer revealed how he spent the first day of the year.
“On Jan. 1, after MBC ‘Gayo Daejejeon’ ended, all of my bandmates gathered together to catch up,” the BTS member said. “But we couldn’t go to karaoke. I hope to go next time. I have much fun when I go to karaoke.”
He also gave some words of wisdom for the new year.
“You know you make New Year’s resolutions -- like ‘let’s do this and this in 2018’ -- such as going on a diet or giving up drinking,” he said. “When somebody says their goal, I hope you will not to laugh at them or say ‘You will do it again by tomorrow anyway.’”
“As winter always passes and spring comes, a new year comes every year. If you don’t enjoy such resolutions it will make your life dull,” the singer said.
“When someone tells you ‘Happy New Year’ I hope you say ‘You too’ and hug them,” he added.
“Happy New Year! Be healthy! I know there can’t be good things only but I hope (there will be) many happy things,” he said wrapping up the broadcast.

On the day, Chu released her first mini album “Dream of Paradise” which featured the lead track “Like Paradise” written by the Pentagon member.
“It was my first time writing a song for a female singer,” he said. “There have been people who asked for my songs but I could not refuse (Chu) as I thought she was charming since when she appeared on ‘K-pop Star.’”
When asked about his thoughts on working with Chu, he said, “She did really well in singing. I am sorry about this but my songs are very difficult (to sing). I usually write difficult songs and the melodies are also quite difficult but (Chu) sings it well as if it’s nothing.”
“As the writer of the song, I’m 99 percent satisfied,” he said.

“Bboom Bboom” is the lead track off the group’s third mini album “Great!”
“I was surprised as the song was different from what we used to do. I was a bit worried if we could perform this song well, but I like this song as it is fun to perform,” Hyebin said.
“The song changed several times but when I heard it for the last time, I thought, ‘Wow, this is our song!” JooE said.
Momoland debuted in November as a seven-piece group -- consisting of JooE, Jane, Yeonwoo, Ahin, Nayun, Hyebin and Nancy -- with the EP “Welcome to Momoland” through Mnet’s K-pop audition program “Finding Momoland.”
Ahead of its release of “Wonderful Love” in April last year, the group welcomed Daisy, who had lost in the final round of the show, and Kim Tae-ha, who appeared on another Mnet K-pop audition program, “Produce 101,” as a trainee of Starship Entertainment.
The group won the “Rising Star” award at the Asia Artist Awards.
