A video of K-pop superstar Hwang Chi-yeol making a New Year’s card for fans was aired on Naver V app Monday.

Hwang showed off his craft-making skills while in a waiting room.

With a ruler and knife, he cut orange paper, folded it in half and glued white paper inside.

On the cover of the card, Hwang drew a dog and numbers 2018 with a black marker as it is the year of the dog.

“I wish good luck to you in the new year,” Hwang wrote on the card in English, Korean and Chinese.

At the end of the message, Hwang signed the card.

Lastly, the singer decorated the card using colorful crayons.

“I’m not good at making cards or drawing, but I made this to wish you a Happy New Year!” Hwang said, holding the card in front of the camera.

“I hope everything will be great in the new year! Cheer up everyone!”

K-pop group Twice took to Naver V live on the first day of 2018 and celebrated the new year.

In a 47-second video, the members of Twice took turns giving their New Year’s message.

“One in a million! Hello, we’re Twice!” the members said together.

“The new year has just begun,” Jihyo said, clapping her hands.

“I hope you are always happy in 2018!” Mina and Nayeon said.

“Thank you so much for always giving Twice a lot of love and support,” Jeongyeon said.

“Let’s be together in 2018 as well,” Sana said.

Referring to the 12-year cycle of animals on the Chinese zodiac, Tzuyu said “Just like a golden dog, let’s stay strong together!”

“Be healthy and happy, May all your dreams come true in 2018!” Dahyun and Momo said.

Singer John Park celebrated the new year while he was in a radio studio, and the footage was broadcast via Naver V app Monday.

The footage began with showing an electronic clock hanging on the studio’s wall with as midnight approached.

“Five, four, three, two, one!” Park shouted for the countdown.

As the clock stroke 12:00 a.m., his radio program “Music High” started with a mellow melody.

“Happy New Year! I feel great to be a DJ since I could say hi to you as soon as the new year began,” Park said.

“Did you make new year wishes? I hope every wish you made comes true this year.”

The first song Park played was Kim Dong-ryul’s “The Departure.”
