Kim Jae-joong dressed up as a stuffed character doll for a free hug event in Daegu on Christmas Eve.

Prior to the event, Kim aired a live V broadcast from inside a moving vehicle, asking fans to guess which city he was in and for what purpose.

“I’m not in Seoul right now, I’m in a different city. I can’t tell you which one. What am I doing here? I can’t tell you that either … but can you guess from the look of the streets?” he said.

“I came here because I wanted to make special memories this Christmas,” Kim said, adding that he had been to this city many times before and that he enjoyed the food there.

Fans threw out a wide range of guesses from Incheon to Gyeongju, Tongyeong and Jeju, but they did not manage to get the correct answer.

Kim was careful not to spoil the surprise, hinting that the event was a “guerrilla date with fans.”

Later in the day, blog posts showed photos of Kim dressed in a brown bear costume, revealing the mystery city as Daegu.

April took to the V app Sunday following their Christmas concert in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.

“You could have had plans with friends and family, but you came to see us. Thank you for spending your Christmas Eve with us,” said the singers, expressing their gratitude to fans.

The six singers lit candles on a cake and wished the group would stay happily together as long as possible.

“2017 has been a beautiful year. I could say it has been the best year out of my 18-year life so far,” Yena said, wishing the new year would have more happiness in store for her and the group.

April debuted in 2016 with the EP “Dreaming.” Its latest work was the fourth EP “Eternity” in September.

The group successfully held a concert in Tokyo, Japan, earlier in December.

Chung Ha on Saturday celebrated the 200th day since her debut as a soloist. The singer thanked fans for accompanying her on her musical journey via a clip released on V on Sunday.

“It’s Christmas Eve, everyone. I hope you spend the holiday in a festive mood,” said Chung Ha.

“Saturday was the 200th day since my debut as a solo artist. It seems not too long ago that I hit 100 days. Time flies, and it’s all thanks to your loving support that I’m relevant to this day. Thank you very much.”

Chung Ha hinted that she had a Christmas gift prepared for fans, asking them to look forward to the surprise.
