Dahyun of Twice thanked her fans for supporting the group at the pre-recording for MBC’s music show “Show! Music Core” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

“I started V app broadcast because I feel good,” she said starting up the broadcast. “The reason why I feel good is because so many Once (members of Twice’s fan club) came to ‘Show! Music Core.’ So I wanted to amuse you on your way back home.”

“I heard that 800 Once members came today. It is the biggest number so far,” she said. “I felt very very touched. You definitely encouraged us. Really.”

“Thanks to Once, we really enjoyed our promotion. We had to record (the music show) very early in the morning and if Once didn’t cheer for us. … Anyway, Once definitely encouraged me,” she said closing the broadcast.

Twice will wrap up the promotion of its latest album “#Twicestagram” with the music shows over the weekend.

Jiho of Oh My Girl

Jiho of girl group Oh My Girl proved herself a big eater again in a live “meokbang” (eating show) aired on Naver’s V app Saturday.

It was part of the group’s “Meokbang Relay” project. Jiho was the fifth member to hold the eating show.

During Saturday’s broadcast, she had spicy instant noodles, canned tuna, fried chicken and cereal.

She finished the instant noodles and canned tuna in the blink of an eye and started eating three fried chickens, each in different flavor. Then she moved on to a huge bowl of chocolate cereal.

“Eating has nothing to do with gender,” she said referring to common perception that girls like her cannot eat much.

She proved her big appetite earlier in February 2016, by beating comedian Lee Guk-joo, who is popular for her big appetite, in speed-eating jajangmyeon (noodles with black soybean sauce).

Singer Lee Seung-chul revealed the reason why he opened his V channel in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

It is unusual for a veteran singer with a 30-year career to open a V app channel.

“It is my first time trying V live. It’s big now,” the singer said.

“(Through V app) you can communicate with your fans quickest and coolest. I wanted to show you myself as I am rather than my edited self,” he said. “Even if you hate me, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. I will answer.”

Lee debuted in 1986 as the main vocalist of rock band Boohwal with the band’s first album “Rock Will Never Die.” He left the band in 1989 and released his first solo album “Don’t Say Good-bye” and since been one of the most representative male vocalists in Korea.

The singer will kick off his national concerts tour “Money Back” in Seoul on Dec. 22-24.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
