Singer Jeong Se-woon thanked fans for their support after winning the Rising Star Award at the Asia Artist Awards on Wednesday, in a live broadcast via Naver’s V app on the same day.

“I was about to leave after the awards ceremony ended but I felt so grateful so I started the V app broadcast,” he said. “It is my first time attending an awards ceremony and I’m so glad that I won.”

“When I went up the stage to accept the award, I didn’t know what to say so I guess I could not convey my gratefulness to fans, who are the most important indeed,” the singer said. “I will try hard to give you good music so please stay with me.”

At the end of the broadcast, he also talked about the news that the national entrance examination, or suneung, had been postponed due to possible aftershocks in the quake-hit Pohang area in North Gyeongsang Province.

“You must have been very surprised. I hope you are OK. I hope all the test-takers cheer up and do well on the exam,” he said.
