Oh Hyuk and IU on Thursday promoted their upcoming duet “Can’t Love You Anymore” via Naver‘s V app.

In the short promotional clip, IU wanted Oh, the front man of Korean indie rock band hyukoh, to join her in asking fans, “Please give our song lots of love.”

“Can you do it? Wave both your hands to the camera and say, ‘Please give lots of love,’” IU said to Oh, who curtly replied, “No, (I) can’t.”

Oh, despite being a celebrity musician, is known for his shy personality when it comes to talking with people.

“What, why can’t you? It’s only eight syllables, ‘Mah-nee-sah-rang-hae-joo-sae-yo,” IU said. “I did so many things for you, and you can’t even do this?”

IU and Oh are said to be close friends. They made news in 2015 for surprise-busking together in a casual indie musicians’ bar in the Hongdae district of Seoul.

Oh said, “You say it loud, I’ll say it quietly. No, how about if I just wave my hands.”

The two finally agreed that Oh would only say “please,” or “joo-sae-yo” in Korean, but in the three attempts that followed, IU was alone in saying the lines.

“Can’t Love You Anymore” will release Friday.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
