Taiwanese member of girl group Twice, Tzuyu, appeared on a V App live broadcast on Wednesday and revealed that she is still “struggling” to learn Korean.

In the broadcast called “Tzuyu Interview,” the idol confessed that she still find it difficult to understand Korean while having a conversation with team members.

“The Korean language is very difficult,” she explained. “It still sounds unfamiliar to me.”

She also told fans during the interview how people advised her to get tough on language learning.

“They said to watch Korean dramas and movies to become fluent in Korean, so I’m doing as best as I can to make some time for them.”

Besides the language barrier, she shared positive sides of being a “foreigner.”

“My team members take good care of me because I’m from abroad,” she said. “It’s nice that someone is being nice to me.”

In response to a question about how she became a singer, she said “I liked dancing and singing a lot when I was a kid, and my friends were so into K-pop, so I naturally became interested in becoming a singer.”
