Girls’ Generation’s lead vocalist Taeyeon unveiled a teaser video for her newest song “Why” via the Naver V app Saturday.

The teaser overall features a sunny, lively and playful summer mood, accompanied by an up-tempo beat mixed with an electronic sound. Taeyeon kicks off the vibe by playing in a big resort, appearing totally free-spirited and independent. Heart-shaped sunglasses added a sweet and lovely side to the starlet.

Accordingly, “Why” is the title track of her upcoming mini album, which also includes prereleased track “Starlight” -- shared previously on June 25 -- as a duet with rhythm and blues singer-songwriter Dean.

The new album “Why” will be released in its entirety at midnight on June 28.
