Boy band Madtown’s Buffy made a lone appearance at his 22nd birthday celebration before Naver V app viewers Wednesday in the dead of night.

“I appreciate all my fans watching this live broadcast,” Buffy said. “However, I regret that many of my friends are serving in the military, so my phone is rarely ringing.”

The cone hat-wearing Buffy put a cake on his knees and lit candles by himself in a training room. “I love doing this by myself, so don’t be sad, folks,” Buffy reassured viewers.

He made a wish before he blew out the candles. He hoped the band’s activities with their forthcoming third mini album “Emotion,” slated to be released on June 21, would result in success.

Soon, Buffy complained about bandmate Heo Jun’s post celebrating “Buffy Day,” as it contained a photo of Buffy with a hilarious facial expressions.

Buffy talked about the new album “Emotion” and teaser images for it with fans. He added tracks from “Emotion” will be more downbeat than their previous releases.

Fellow Madtown members celebrated his birthday before the broadcast and had already returned to their dormitory rooms, according to Buffy.
