[V Report] Baek A-yeon returns

Singer Baek A-yeon returned with new EP “So So” on Monday at midnight. Ahead of releasing the album, she met with fans to talk about the new release and shared her nervous feelings on the V app.

The 23-year-old talked about the lead track “So So,” for which she participated in writing lyrics. “‘So So’ is a song for people who want to be in love, but can’t due to their busy life,” she said.

Another song “Words to Say” is a song that written from the perspective of a girl preparing to bid farewell to her boyfriend, she added.

During the broadcast, she performed the new songs live, as well as past hit songs such as “Shouldn’t Have.”

2PM member Jun.K, who is under the same label JYP Entertainment with Baek, appeared on the broadcast to cheer her on. Jun.K brought fried chicken and Coca-Cola to enjoy together on the show.

Jun.K said he is currently performing in Japan for 2PM’s Japanese concert tour. He just returned from Tokyo to support Baek.

The two shared their love for spending time at home, hanging out with their pets. “I go home right after work all the time,” Baek said.

Tiffany of Girls’ Generation also called in to support Baek. “I was really nervous when I was on the V app,” Tiffany said, recalling last week’s broadcast. “You will be able to express your charms on the stage soon, I am cheering for you.”

Suga and Jungkook of BTS popped up on the app while BTS is traveling around various Nordic countries. “Nights are white all over the country. The sun never goes down,” Suga said. “Yesterday, we enjoyed a barbecue at 1 a.m. and it was still bright. Right now, we are enjoying the Nordic sensibility."

“I feel so relaxed here. In Korea we were busy and didn’t get a chance to see this kind of scenery. It’s just amazing to be here.”

The group said since they are currently traveling, they are not sure when they will return to Korea.

“We will return when we want to,” Suga said. “We are all enjoying our vacation here, so we will enjoy the rest of the trip and come back soon.”

Jungkook also shared that he wanted to buy something made of wood from the country to take home as a souvenir.

Also on Monday, singer Son Ho-young, a former member of veteran boy band g.o.d, released the new EP “May I” and held a showcase, which was streamed live via the V app. During the showcase he performed new tracks including lead track “My Weak Point,” which is composed, written and produced by Yoon Jong-shin. He also performed other songs “Where Are You” and “Will You Stop.”

“I didn’t realize it in the past, but more and more, I am very grateful for people who are around me,” he said. “I was talking to Yoon Jong-shin and realized how I am very thankful to my fans who have stayed by my side for a long time. My fans are my weak points,” he said and thanked the fans.
