New K-pop girl group I.O.I went live on Naver V Wednesday to promote their first official album “Chrysalis.”

The girls opened the broadcast with a casual greeting, followed by a brief introduction of their new album.

“I think our debut song is very meaningful to us. Since each of us participated actively and our opinions were reflected,” member Nayoung said.

Another member added “When it comes to our album’s title name, we chose chrysalis since we are still preparing to become butterflies. But the word chrysalis in Korean sounded quite weird, so we were looking at other languages and found the English one pretty. “

The girls continuously introduced the title songs “Dream Girls” presented a part of choreography altogether.

“As you can tell from the lyrics ‘We are girls that dream,’ the melody is very uplifting.” Sejeong said

In the end, the girls finished the broadcast by giving notice for their debut album showcase Thursday.

Yunhyeong from the rookie boy band iKON hosted a cooking broadcast from his home later on in the night.

“The weather goes back and forth recently, and several members had already caught a cold. So today I am going to make Korean style beef turnip soup, which is known to be good for the cold and even diet,” said Yunhyeong.

Then he bring the main ingredient beef and started to stir-fry, explaining his cooking tips at the same time.

“Now it’s time to add the turnip, and one important tip is to make the slices very thin to elevate the flavors.”

While the soup is simmering, he started to make another dish fried rice. “Sorry I haven’t prepared the ingredients for this. Actually I am feeling a bit nervous since I haven’t cooked for a while,” he said.

After cooking, Yunhyeong invited the member Jinhwan to taste his dishes.

“My grandmother used to cook it for me, so I really like the soup,” Jinhwan commented calmly, then Yunhyeong complained that “It’s not a kind of reaction that I expected, I want a big compliment like Bobby’s. Anyway, it seems you are really enjoying this dish! Cause Jinhwan wouldn’t eat it if it was not tasty.”

In the end, Yunheyong wrapped up: “Bye fans, I will return with a better menu next time. See you guys soon in the Hong Kong concert!”

Korean prodigy acoustic guitarist Sungha Jung also popped on V to give a track preview for his upcoming album entitled “L’Atelier,” which will be released on May 13.

His new album includes 10 tracks, and all of them were revealed for about a minute long. The video clip started with the first track “On Cloud Nine,” following by the lead song “L’Atelier,” which provides the listener with a gentle and rhythmical rest.

Two songs “Riding a Bicycle” and “Siesta” that Jung had previously rendered in his concert were included as well, adding a delightful mix to this album. One cover “Take Five” was featured as the last track alongside his original compositions.
