Korean actor Park Hae-jin, currently a swell of popularity across Asia, held a fan meeting to mark his 10 years in the entertainment industry.

The meeting was held at Olympic Park’s SK Handball Stadium at Songpa-gu, Seoul, with approximately 4,000 fans -- from Korea, Japan, China and other countries -- flocking to see him.

The event has been prepared and planned by him, and he bore all the expenses, around 200 million won ($170,000) for the show.

He wowed the attendees with a variety of features, talking with them, hugging some audience members and giving a magic show.

Other guests included two singers -- female soloist Younha and Lee Seok-hoon of ballad group SG Wannabe -- who performed during the session.

“I first met Park in a fitness center in 2010. He said hello first to me, and said that he sang my song in his fan meeting,” Lee said.

In addition, the 32-year-old actor took time to take selfies with his fans in every corner of the stadium.

Later, his fan club impressed him with a surprise birthday party to celebrate his 31st birthday on May 1. They prepared a giant cake, presents and a special video clip, as his eyes filled with tears.

“I felt really sorry because I did not mark my fan club’s 10th anniversary. But, I always keep in mind that you guys are priceless,” he said, expressing his gratitude to fans.

At last, Park wrapped up the meeting singing “Two People” by Korean singer Sung Si-kyung, then said good-bye to the attendees.

The event was originally scheduled to run about two hours, but lasted over 5 hours and 30 minutes. The big-scale fan meeting seemed to end in success, as Park and all his fans seemed to thoroughly enjoy the show.
