Boy band EXO member and actor D.O. came out on the V app to promote his new movie, “Pure Love.”

In regards to the theme of the movie and his character, he was asked what he was like at 17 years old. D.O. responded, “When I was 17, I was definitely purer and shier than I am now.”

On his crew and fellow castmates, he referred to them as “family,” revealing how close they were both on off the set.

D.O. also talked about the similarities between his character, Bumsil, and himself. He said one of the character’s lines, “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you” signifies their common characteristic. “I always try to be a ‘good man,’ like Bumsil -- though I’m still trying to figure out the meaning of it.”

“I don’t think I’m a perfectionist because I always try to be relaxed and natural.”

When asked about his secret, he jokingly replied, “I can’t eat herbs like coriander and parsley.”

“I will try my best as both a singer and an actor,” he said, ending the broadcast with promising words.
