Girl group Girl’s Day member Yura was the designated host of the night for the Gaonchart Awards held on Feb. 17.

She was first sighted at the red carpet, where flashing lights surrounded her as they snapped away photos of her and Super Junior’s Leeteuk, her cohost.

As she strolled to her dressing room, she greeted everyone she met on the way formally. In her private dressing room, she said to fans: “How are you guys? I’ve come to host the awards for the evening.”

She also commented on the weather, due to the breathtaking, shoulderless navy dress she was wearing: “It was really cold outside yesterday, but I’m glad the weather got warmer today.”

Next, the singer answered various questions from her fans with humor and wit. One of the questions was “Did you go on a diet to look good for the awards?” She replied honestly, “Yes, I did lose a few pounds to wear my dress.” She also flaunted her professionally done hair, swishing it back and forth.

Yura joked around with the head of her company, laughing along with him. He teased her by revealing her meal plans during her diet. They seemed to exude a father-daughter vibe.

She was a good sport by continuing to giggle at comments regarding her look, such as “Your shoulders look less broad today.” She told her fans she took extra care of her makeup today and showed a close-up of her face, much to fans’ delight.

Her signature tomboy laugh filled the entire broadcast, making both those in attendance and fans watching around the world merry.
