Park Shi-hwan, the runner-up on K-pop audition program “Superstar K” season 5, presented a recipe for a Korean dish on Naver’s V app on Tuesday.

The episode, called “House Cook Master Park,” was designed to give a glimpse into convenient Korean food recipes.

“I didn’t expect I would really be doing this,” the 28-year-old musician said. “I always thought the best way to show my fans the flip side of myself was through the live broadcast.”

While making “dakbokkeumtang,” a spicy chicken stew, Park shared preparation tips such as using a bigger pot while braising poultry and cutting vegetables such as potatoes, carrots and onions more efficiently. It took some 75 minutes for him to finish the stew and a rice bowl.

He was content with his stew.

“I loved it,” he said. “It was much better than I expected.”
