[V Report] EXO Suho makes fans laugh
Broadcast date: Jan. 16
Starring: EXO’s Suho, Jun Jin, Andy, GOT7, Gfriend, Moon Hee Jun, Mad Town, Seungkwan (SEVENTEEN), Hwanhee (Fly to the Sky), April
The highlight of yesterday‘s videos on the Naver V app was undoubtedly the appearance of EXO leader Suho, who managed to spend an hour and a half sitting in the offices of SM Entertainment with no props, yet still making his fans laugh.
He opened up the broadcast by saying that the goal was to be “Ek-jel-ut,” short for the Korean phrase “funniest in EXO.” Suho asked his fans to help him prove that he was the funniest in EXO, and proceeded to do just about everything that was thrown at him -- from trying to tie a ribbon with an electric cord near him and failing (“Psh. I can tie a ribbon. I‘m 26. I swear.”) to dancing to Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb,” to showing off personal talent (his tongue can apparently touch his nose).

Fans rewarded him for his efforts, showering him with nearly 50 million hearts. In the comments, many fans seemed to have been moved that he was willing to put down his idol star persona to connect with his fans.
Another star that touched fans through V yesterday was Jun Jin of Shinhwa, who tried to connect with fans from backstage at a performance, but had trouble finding Wi-Fi. With broadcast titles like “Keep up your strength, Wi-Fi!” Jun Jin turned the V App on five times before he found a decent connection. To the delight of fans, he spent roughly 6 minutes stuck to a wall, not moving because he was “afraid the connection will cut out again.” Fellow Shinhwa member Andy also checked into the V app from a Shanghai restaurant after a fan meeting to share some tips on how best to eat the Chinese hot-pot dish huo guo.

Boy group GOT7 also turned up the V app after a giant fan meeting for their second anniversary. During the short 10-minute broadcast, the members talked about how grateful they were for their fans‘ showing support, mentioning things like how fans flew paper airplanes toward the stage while they were performing. “I was so surprised,” said Mark. “I was rapping and suddenly this green thing was flying towards me.”
GOT7 didn’t forget to show concern for their fans, which they are best known for. Jr. continuously mentioned the fans who had been at fan meetings, telling them to “get home safe” because “the streets are dark.”

Girl group Gfriend had a surprise broadcast to celebrate their first anniversary. They started out by holding up dolls that their fans had made for them, depicting each member wearing the costume and hair that they had worn for last year‘s Melon Music Awards. After thanking their fans, the girls focused their attention on answering the questions that fans had sent them for their anniversary which they had collected on Post-it notes.

H.O.T’s Moon Hee Jun spent some time on V talking about his upcoming concert, telling fans that he would be singing “the songs from his first album in the same order you heard them on tapes and CDs,” adding as a caveat that not all the songs would be included in the lineup.
Other appearances on the app included Mad Town, Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN celebrating his birthday, Hwanhee, who had a birthday fan meeting broadcast live, and April, who walked through the streets of Daegu to promote their performance there.
