Boy group Winner popped up on the V app at 11 p.m. for their special program “Winner Entry Night,” with fans going gaga for the group’s return breaking a long hiatus.

The five members appeared on the app an hour ahead of releasing a new single “Pricked,” a duet number by members Song Min-ho and Nam Tae-hyun, at midnight. The new song arrives nearly a year and five months after releasing their debut album “2014 S/S” in August 2014. After releasing the single, Winner will unveil an EP on Feb. 1.

The boys talked about the upcoming album and their New Year’s resolution, saying they will appear in public more often.

“In 2016, I would like to promote more in Korea and star in many different programs,” said Nam. “In 2015, we weren’t able to satisfy our fans much, so this year, I would like to be closer to the fans. Also I would like to become a little taller.”

“I have two goals this year,” said Kim Jin-woo. I hope everyone in the world will know us, the Winner, and for me, I would like to star in a film or a drama. We will work hard this year, so watch and support us.”

“We are like the symbol of the hiatus,” said Lee Seung-hoon, explaining the long breaks between starring in the TV survival program and the official debut, and the debut album and the upcoming album. “I feel like we are making a debut again. Just like a rookie, we will work hard.”

The team’s leader Kang Seung-yoon hoped Winner would rank No.1 with the newly-released songs and the group would be together for long.

On the show, the boys also celebrated Lee’s birthday, which falls on Monday, with a birthday cake and fans posting birthday comments simultaneously on the app.

The members released the song “Pricked” and said the album cover is hand drawn by Song. Nam also announced that Winner will hold a concert this year and the detailed information will be unveiled soon.

Up10tion (Naver V app)

Rookie boy group Up10tion went live on the app at 11:30 p.m. to celebrate wrapping up of all the promotions for their song “Catch Me” from EP “Bravo.” The ten boys went around and read their hand-written letters to the viewers, tanking the fans for their support and fellow members.

Also on Sunday, rookie girl group GFriend released a short clip to celebrate the launch of their channel on the app, while boy group Snuper went live from their practice room for their regular broadcast on “Idol Idol” channel.
