Boy band GOT7’s channel on Naver’s live-streaming V app hit 1 million viewers on Saturday, following in the footsteps of Big Bang and Bangtan Boys.

Industry watchers say the figure reflects the global popularity of the boy group as the service has more overseas viewers than local ones.

GOT7 was also recently named this year’s most searched word in the music scene on Twitter, according to the Korean arm of the social networking service.

The group’s music video of new title track “If You Do,” unveiled in September, also garnered over 1 million views in 17 hours since its release.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
