On Saturday, K-pop rookie girl group Lovelyz went live with their first fan event and a mini concert, featuring various games and talks.
The members did a series of individual performances, singing solo and dancing in small groups. Yoo Ji-ae showed off her sweet tone, singing “Delight,” whereas JIN sang “Gone.”
Four members of the group -- Seo Ji-soo, Ryu Su-jeong, Lee Mi-joo, Jung Yein -- also walked up to the stage in adorable glittery costumes and performed Orange Caramels’ “A~ing,” stealing hearts of male fans at the venue.
The octet then played roulette with fans, where each member had to carry out missions on the board. Seo Ji-soo pressed her lips to her photos and gave them out to fans in random drawings, while Mi-joo had to eat fresh lemons.
They also had candid talks with the fans.
“A few days ago, our manager busted us for our ‘hidden’ biscuits,” said Mi-joo, adding she sometimes wants to eat snacks. The members agreed and talked about chips and cookies they wanted to eat -- it is typical in the South Korean entertainment scene for management agencies control idol singers’ private lives, including their cellphones and diets.
The members then appeared in charming yellow dresses, performing “Hi” and “Achoo.”
Lovelyz is set to drop its new album at midnight on Sunday.

Rapper Cheetah, who shot to fame through popular audition program “Unpretty Rapstar,” also jumped onto the V screen.
The rapper previously appeared on MBC documentary program “Good People” with her mother and talked about her past experience when she was at a crossroads between life and death due to a car crash and her financial difficulties in the past.
“I cried when I watched it, but I won’t talk about these things anymore,” said Cheetah.
“There are some people,” she added, referring to Internet bullies, “who would constantly say I’m just a hypocrite who’s trying to appeal to others’ emotions.”
The rapper, however, said she really enjoyed shooting the documentary as she was able to get closer to her mother.
Actor Seo Kang-joon also appeared on the V screen, casually interacting with fans. He also pledged he would send his celebrity friends to fans if the number of hearts reaches 100,000.
