It was 3:30 a.m. when EXO’s Chanyeol and Sehun popped onto V screens for a surprise broadcast from Hong Kong. The group members headed to Hong Kong on Tuesday to attend the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, which opened Wednesday.

“There was no prior notice. There might have been too much traffic, which might have disturbed our communication,” said the singer. “It’s not easy to do this all by myself.” As soon as the singer began his broadcast, thousands of fans flooded in too see Chanyeol go live from his hotel room.

“I got here from Shanghai today. I’ve had enough sleep, though, because the flight was delayed. Don’t worry. I’m not tired.”
The singer went on, cheering on fans who recently took a college entrance exam, as well as talking about his new album. He also preannounced that EXO would be performing “Drop That” on this year’s MAMA stage, raising anticipation among fans.

Sehun also joined in, saying, “I’ve been watching this live from another room. I’m here because I also wanted to say hi.” Fans went wild and cast thousands of hearts for the two singers. The broadcast went on for over an hour, raking in more than 8 million hearts.
“You guys need some sleep. I seriously don’t want to make this a ‘good morning’ broadcast,” said Chanyeol, asking fans to tune in for MAMA.

EXO is slated to return with a new special album, “Sing for You,” on Dec. 10.
