Lee Hong-gi of F.T.Island and EXID held V live shows late night on Thursday through which they communicated with fans until their new album release at midnight.

Lee Hong-gi’s live talk was a letdown in terms of broadcast fluidity and the star’s inconsiderate comments.

Lee teased the songs from his new album “FM302” in the broadcast. However, due to the poor network the hourlong show was frustrating as it kept going offline.

Global fans from the U.S., China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Argentina flooded the broadcast with multilingual comments asking for the star to do something about the network connection, but all Lee came up with was, “There’s no lag on my phone. Buy a new phone, guys.”

His inflammatory demands continued, “I can’t believe we haven’t passed 2 million hearts yet. This is Lee Hong-gi we’re talking. Keep on clicking guys. If this continues, I’m never going to come back to V-app.”

Some fans cynically asked if he was high while broadcasting.

Lee also said that he would be singing his song for the first time at Wednesday’s album showcase, but he would surely pull it off because he was none other than the amazing Lee Hong-gi.

His diehard fans supported him, “You don’t need practice, oppa,” wrote one fan.

EXID, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised the viewers by inviting a throng of celebrities to their show who gathered in solidarity and support for their album, “Hot Pink.”

Thirty-or-so celebrities ranging from television entertainers, K-pop singers and rappers turned up for the EXID’s “Thunder Party” broadcast.

Fiestar’s Yezi, GOT7’s Jackson, MBLAQ’s Mir, 2PM’s Ock Taec-yeon, music producer Shinsadong Tiger were present, to name a few from the batch.

The K-pop quintet EXID, belonging under a relatively small label, had to struggle as a rookie group for years before climbing the popularity rankings after a fan leaked its live concert video on social media.

In an interview with the K-pop Herald’s umbrella company, The Korea Herald, EXID had showed humility and gratitude to the public and the Internet for their success.

Other broadcasts throughout the day were …

Vietnamese singer Dong Nhi aired “Oh my sister!” show on Xin Chao TV. The beauty makeup show was intermittently laced with Dong Nhi’s provocative music video. She invited a fan of hers, a girl who had never dressed in skirts or wore makeup, and transformed her with makeup and a stripe-patterned one-piece dress.

On Dec. 2, Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony will go live via V for those who are unable to attend the high-profile Korean music event. BTS shared a two-minute long comeback trailer for its long awaited album “Nevermind.” The song is a rebellious and hopeful rap. Butterflies, symbolic of a hatching out of cocoon, repetitively fluttered across the street art-like experimental music video.
