[V Report] Yubin talks of ‘Unpretty Rapstar’ on V
Broadcast date: Nov. 14
tarring: Yubin, Sunmi (Wonder Girls), Junjin (Shinhwa), Ali, Block B
Wonder Girls’ Yubin and Sunmi hosted a show titled “Yubin, Sunmi’s YOU&ME” on Naver’s V on Saturday.
Yubin, who previously could not host as she was taking part in a rap contest program, joined Sunmi on the show.
“Friday was my last appearance on ‘Unpretty Rapstar,’” Yubin said. “I am OK, even though I did not do a good job. I still thank people who liked and listened to my songs.” On Friday, Yubin lost to her rival Sooah at the final round of the competition.
Then, she said, “We will show you our ugly side today,” and imitated facial expressions of animals -- a monkey, a carp and a duck. When a fan asked them to mimic a crocodile, Yubin and Sunmi were a little taken aback but soon opened their mouth wide like a crocodile.
When another fan asked them to imitate Pikachu, a species of “Pokemon” game characters, Sunmi said, “Oh, Yubin is good at mimicking Pikachu.” Yubin imitated the voice of Pikachu, saying, “Pika pika.”
Yubin also mentioned the key national college entrance exam, which was on Thursday. “Students might be bittersweet like I felt on the show. But, the result is not always important,” she said. “You did your best.”

Shinhwa’s Junjin hosted a show alone, wearing a white stage outfit at 8 p.m. in the lead-up to his concert.
He sat in front of the camera while having his hair done. When his hairstylist asked, “Am I caught on camera?” he said, “No, you are not.”
Junjin said, “I bought a new USIM chip for Naver’s V,” stressing, “It was very, very difficult to get it.”
After asking, “What is USIM?” he answered himself, “It is your heart,” meaning that U refers to “you” in English and “sim” means “heart” in Chinese.
When others, who were dumbfounded, laughed, he apologized for the joke.
When a fan told him there was a hair on his shirt, he brushed it off his cloth and said, “Are you able to see this?”
Soon, he wrapped up the show, saying, “I should go now. See you again."

At 8:10 p.m., singer Ali made a surprise broadcast after winning the final competition at KBS’ music competition program “Immortal Songs.”
Looking excited, she read her fans’ comments full of congratulations of her winning.
She said, “Thank you. This is my 10th trophy.”
Lifting up her black dog “Kkami,” she said, “Kkami also came here to say ‘thank you.’”
When her fans asked her to repeat the song live, she said, “If you give me more than 3,000 hearts, I will sing.” In a few seconds, the number of hearts surpassed 3,100 and she sang Ahn Chi-hwan’s hit song “People Are More Beautiful than Flowers,” with her vocal power impressing her fans.

Block B briefly also met their fans a few minutes before their concert begins in Chicago.
“We are here at the backstage of our concert in Chicago,” leader Zico said. “We are hosting this show because we miss BBC.” BBC is the name of their fan club.
Others said, “We are honored to have a concert here,” and “Chicago pizza was great.”
When the camera zoomed in on member Jaehyo’s face, he made a funny face for no reason.
Soon, they wrapped up the show, saying, “We should go up to perform now. Thank you.”
