The popular broadcasting app V hit six million downloads as of Saturday, Naver said on Tuesday.

The app was launched on July 31 with 25 channels consisting of K-pop stars who want to interact with their fans in real-time. Now, after just four months, the app boasts over 80 channels featuring an array of stars from diverse fields, including actors, actresses, comedians, models, makeup artists and athletes.

Household names such as Big Bang, Wonder Girls, Girls’ Generation, Joo Won, Park Bo-young and Lee Jong-suk are regular participants on the app.

These stars not only engage with fans via the app, but also use it creatively and effectively as a platform to promote their upcoming albums or acting projects.

Recently, the V app also added Vietnamese stars to the lineup, expanding the app across the globe.
