BTS’ Suga discusses upcoming collaboration with IU

BTS’ Suga talked about his upcoming single produced in collaboration with IU during his voice-only broadcast radio show, “DJ Suga’s Honey FM 06.13,” on the group’s V Live channel. With his bandmate RM appearing as a guest, Suga gave fans the scoop on the much-anticipated song, titled “Eight.”

As fans asked Suga about the new music, RM said, “Would you please talk about it a bit? It’s coming out soon.

“I’ve heard it. It’s a really good song to listen to while driving. I don’t have a driver’s license, but I’m planning to listen to it while riding a bicycle. I think people would listen to it for a long time.”

Suga said, “The song’s really nice. The production process was very smooth, so there wasn’t a lot of back-and-forth. As soon as I sent her the beat, the melody came quickly after that.”

He added, “Usually, I don’t listen to the song I’ve worked on after it’s released, because I tend to only hear things that I could have done better. The moment the song leaves my hands, I think it’s up to the listeners. But I’ve been listening to ‘Eight’ even after finishing it.”

After talking about Suga’s upcoming mixtape plans and his dedication to good music, the two promised fans they would soon be back with more content.

Suga said, “It’s very healing to communicate with people like this, especially in these times. There are a lot of benefits to it.” RM added that he would join Suga whenever his bandmate called.

“Eight” is set to drop May 6.

Sunmi celebrates birthday online

Singer-songwriter Sunmi celebrated her 29th birthday via a Naver V Live broadcast.

Against the backdrop of a room that was all ready for a party, the musician, clad in a fashionable oversized jacket, said, “It’s my last birthday in my 20s and I didn’t have anything special planned for it. As I’m not a party girl, maybe I would have spent time with my younger siblings.

“I’m really happy to hold an online birthday party for the first (time since my) debut with you guys today,” she added.

After blowing out the candles on her cake, she said, “I’m really grateful. I’m such a blessed person, as so many people have celebrated and enjoyed my birthday each year. I personally prefer celebrating my birthday in a small way, without any big event.”

Sunmi went on to share that she had made several wishes, such as spending more time with fans this year and success for her next song.

“I also wish for the health of people I love and my company MakeUs,” she added.

GOT7 bandmates switch parts on ‘Not by the Moon’

GOT7 released a practice video of the band’s latest single, “Not by the Moon,” with a little twist -- having its members switch parts.

Wearing casual outfits, the seven band members played rock-paper-scissors to choose who would decide. Youngjae, the winner, did the honors, and the bandmates took on the challenge of dancing to each other’s parts.

Despite some mistakes, they finished the song smoothly, and GOT7 wrapped up the video by saying, “Thank you for loving our such goofy sides.”

GOT7’s newly released “Dye” EP debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, marking the K-pop group’s 11th top-five entry to date.

Sanha of Astro took a walk down memory lane when he unboxed the group’s latest album, “Blue Flame.”

“Today, I’m going to look back on the photos from our ‘Blue Flame’ album in order to reminisce our past memories,” said the singer.

Saying he had to review the photos in 10 minutes, he put an hourglass next to him.

Flipping through the photo book for the album, Sanha explained the stories behind each photo.

Then he teased the group’s upcoming album. The group is set to drop its seventh EP, “Gateway,” Monday.

“We are returning as a full group this time, as Moon Bin joined us again. I was really grateful to have him again on our team,” he said.
