Jungwoo and Doyoung tried playacting as a customer and a hair stylist in the band’s relay V Live segment.

“I want it to keep it natural,” said Jungwoo introducing Doyoung as a famed hairdresser.

“What about a puppy-like cute style?” suggested Doyoung and Jungwoo hesitated for a second before telling him to do whatever he can do best.

Doyoung picked up the hair iron first and declared that he will add some curls.

“How thick do you want the curls to be? Like that of ramen, jjajangmyeon or udon?” asked Doyoung and Jungwoo went for the thickest.

“I’ve actually been a hair designer for two hours so please understand if I’m not that good,” teased Doyoung telling the bandmate that Jungwoo is his first customer.

Jungwoo was taken aback when Doyoung accidentally touched his ear with the hot iron. It’s okay, assured Doyoung, it will grow back. Jungwoo was suddenly reminded that Doyoung never does his own hair and told the latter so.

“Yes, because I don’t know how to,” he replied coolly.

Mingyu of Seventeen livestreamed on his birthday to celebrate together with fans.

He was amazed that he has turned 24 counting the candles and thanked everyone for sending congratulatory messages.

“It doesn’t feel real,” said the birthday boy looking at the influx of messages on the live chat.

He also is struck by how fast time flies, he mused, as it feels as if it was not long ago when he celebrated his last birthday while touring in Japan.

“This is already the fifth time I am celebrating my birthday since I debuted,” he added.

“All the bandmates congratulated me and gave me presents,” he told viewers. The8 gave him eight bottles of wine announcing that he will fill up his wine cooler, Mingyu said chuckling. Junghan took him by surprise gifting him with a piece of clothing he said he liked when they were taking a stroll quite a while ago.

Taehyun, Beomgyu and Hueningkai said they have done it before, although in their kindergarten, while Soobin and Yeonjun admitted it is their first time and were worried.

They were given a mission to make pottery of themselves characterized and began with rough sketches. Taehyun finished first imagining himself as a flying squirrel with a tiny mic in hand while Yeonjun went for a wicked cat and added blue hair on top after his own hair color.

Then the quintet started working with clay kneading and rolling it into a flat base on which they drew the outlines. They often fell silent concentrating on more rolling and building up the clay into shape. When they did speak, they proudly announced that each of theirs was the best before changing the tone to complimenting each other.

“Adding color definitely is the most nerve-racking,” said Beomgyu.

Super rookie AleXa who came out with her first EP “Do Or Die” sat down with Kpop Herald reporters Yim Hyun-su and Kwon Yae-rim for an in-depth interview.

“It’s been such an incredible process throughout the creation of the EP. Filming the music video and having performed it on the live shows ... it was a dream-come-true and so much hard work,” she said thanking everyone.

So how did someone born and raised in Oklahoma became a K-pop singer, asked Yim. My mom is actually Korean, and adopted when 5, said the rookie. She first got into K-pop in 2008 and then set her eyes on becoming a musician. It was a series of auditions, online and offline, and after a period of training, she finally debuted, explained AleXa. She has participated in Mnet’s audition program “Produce 48” in 2018.

As for the name of her official fandom community, A.I Trooper, same as the title of one of her songs, the musician said it came out of a long-term discussion with her staffers.

“We wanted to give a cool name ... combine the love of sci-fi and the AleXa concept. And boom!” she told the reporters.
