Taeyong and Doyoung of NCT 127 livestreamed preparing for a picnic in the second episode of the band’s relay V Live series.

“We are going to prepare a picnic lunch and enjoy it later at home,” said Taeyong. Doyoung hushed him and said the destination was supposed to be a secret.

“Maybe we might go to a mountain,” Taeyong said.

They will make sandwiches as well as yubuchobap, or fried tofu rice balls, they said, just like the ones their moms used to make when they were young.

“The memory is quite faint,” murmured Taeyong as he began to peel boiled eggs to make egg sandwiches.

“This may take a while,” said Taeyong, “it will take at least 30 minutes just to peel these.”

Doyoung, on the other hand, began preparing flavored rice for rice balls, admitting that he was overwhelmed and wanted to order in.
Taeyong huffed and puffed, mashing the eggs, trying to remember how his mom did it.

“This is harder than practicing,” he said.

Day6's Wonpil shares playlist

Wonpil of Day6 listened to songs from his recent playlist and talked to fans.

His first pick was 5 Seconds of Summer’s “High,” telling viewers that he had started his live segment earlier than usual.

The musician admitted that he had been watching a lot of television dramas, including “Hi, Bye, Mama” (“so sad”) and “Hospital Playlist” (“realistic and it features a band”).

After listening to Selena Gomez’s “Lose You To Love Me,” he replied to a fan’s question about whether his band would have a concert this year. When the COVID-19 outbreak settles down, they will definitely hold a live show, said Wonpil, adding that the bandmates were preparing for their next album.

He asked fans to stay safe and be a little more patient sympathizing over how the pandemic is keeping everyone from enjoying the spring.

“I really love the smell of spring,” he said wistfully.

Suho's solo debut album perfect for spring: Kpop Herald

Kpop Herald reporters Yim Hyun-su and Hong Dam-young discussed Suho’s first solo album “Self Portrait.”

He has debuted as a solo after a decade as a member of EXO and came out with the six-track EP. It is a perfect fit for the season, noted Yim, filled with laid back, relaxed rock pop ballad numbers that include title track “Let’s Love” and “For You Now” featuring female vocalist Younha.

While EXO’s music is mainly based on powerful, strong beats and the genres ranged from dance and hip hop to R&B, Suho has taken a turn and narrowed it down to a single genre, said Hong.

Suho said that he has only listened to rock music while he was working on the solo project and was hugely inspired by Coldplay, they added. It is great for EXO fans to be get a taste of what music each member of the band personally likes, noted Yim.

Oh My Girl's YooA finds new hobby

YooA of Oh My Girl greeted fans with a cheerful hello showing a freshly cut hair.

“You have missed me? Me, too!” she said after apologizing for taking to V Live after a while. She acknowledged that she looked mature, probably because she has clipped her long hair although it still skimmed past her decolletage.

The idol let the viewers take a head-to-toe look of her outfit of the day -- a black leather jacket over a cream crop top matched with a pair of jeans -- and indulged fans’ request to post a picture of herself. But she burst into laughter and confided that she has pushed the home button on her phone instead.

“You know how I am bad at taking a selfie!” said YooA.

She has recently picked up cooking and she found out that she is actually quite good. “Really!” she said listing up the menu she has tried.

“I knew you wouldn’t believe me but Miyeon ate some and liked them!” she said.
