Nayeon of Twice asked fans for dinner recommendations via Naver’s V Live.

“I am about to eat dinner but have no idea what I should eat,” she said, going through the list of dishes suggested by viewers.

She’d already had some of them recently, such as samgyeopsal (pork belly), sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), tteokbokki, jajangmyeon and naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles). And she’d had fried rice for lunch, said the musician, getting ready with pen in hand to jot down the recommendations on a sheet of paper.

Chinese hot pot and budaejjigae (Korean sausage stew) were options she considered, but then decided there might be an even better option.

“I don’t want something light, I want quality food,” Nayeon said to Momo, who’d just joined her but was more focused on doodling on the notepad.

“I suddenly am craving spicy galbi,” or marinated beef, she muttered, and then the artists reminded each other that they were supposed to make up their minds by 8 p.m.

IZ*ONE celebrates Sakura's birthday

Miyawaki Sakura of IZ*ONE celebrated her 23rd birthday with her bandmate in a livestream filled with laughter and tears.

“How old are you?” teased Nabuko Yaki. The birthday girl gave her a squeeze, pretending to be upset.

“Birthdays before I became an idol were happy days when I got to eat cake and delicious meals as well as to thank my parents, but now it is even more special as I get to receive so many congratulatory messages from you,” she said, thanking her fans.

After singing “Happy Birthday” and letting Miyawaki blow out the candles on her cake, her bandmates took turns offering birthday messages per the band’s tradition.

Kim Chaewon went first. Holding hands with Miyawaki, she told her she was glad they’d made precious memories together and was looking forward to more.

Lee Chaeyeon delighted all the band members by bringing in snacks she’d prepared herself but stirred up their emotions when she expressed her appreciation for Miyawaki and had a hard time fighting tears.

NCT Dream's Chenle chats on the move

Chenle of NCT Dream took to V Live on his way home after wrapping up the day’s schedule.

He was livestreaming like Renjun, who always does it after his radio show, he said, switching between Korean and Chinese, and teased fans by saying “bye” to them after a few greetings.

“No. I am not such a bad person,” he chuckled.

The idol reminded fans of some basics for fending off COVID-19, showing off his mask and bringing in some fresh air by rolling down his car window.

Viewers asked him if he’d really gained 6 kilograms and he confirmed that he had -- he used to weigh only 52.9 kilograms but now his weight has reached 62.5.

“But it is OK as long as it doesn’t show,” said Chenle with a smile, assuring fans he’d continue to eat a lot. He cannot end a day without a late-night snack, he confided, but when he has an appointment the next day, he restrains himself.

SF9's Jaeyoon shows off skill with whisk

Jaeyoon of SF9 livestreamed his attempt at making a souffle omelet.

He first apologized for being five minutes late, acting as if he was chiding himself for breaking his promise the night before.

“This can be a late-night snack,” he said, showing he’d worn pajamas to keep it casual and set the mood.

When the performer said he’d probably have to beat and whip the eggs 1,000 times, worried viewers asked him why he hadn’t brought an egg beater or a blender.

“Using a machine for some reason makes it less delicious,” said Jaeyoon, shaking his head. He managed to separate the yolks from the whites and quickly mixed the yolks first.

“This won’t take long,” he said confidently as he moved on to the whites. After almost 10 minutes, he was rewarded with fluffy white foam.
